One of Australia’s richest men has gone head-to-head with Australia’s solicitor general Stephen Donaghue over an eye-watering $300 billion damages claim — with billionaire mining magnate Clive Palmer beginning the grilling by stating: “I’m not used to being accountable to anybody.”

Mr Palmer is attempting to use an international arbitration process to claim that the WA Government’s unprecedented 2020 law scuppering his $30 billion claim against the state had cost him even more.
