Penny’s Big Breakaway Surprise Launches Today

Penny’s Big Breakaway, a throwback 3D platformer by Evening Star (a team consisting of Sonic Mania developers), has surprised launched today. The news was revealed during this morning’s Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase.

As Penny, you’re joined by a sentient yo-yo companion to battle Eddie the Emperor and his army of penguins. You’ll use your yo-yo buddy to swing and zip across 11 collectible-laden worlds. See it in action in the game’s launch trailer below. The game is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, and PC.
