P&N Bank hunts for another big partner as profit rockets to record
A failed tie-up with Beyond Bank won’t deter P&N Bank from chasing another big deal amid a merger spree by the country’s biggest mutual lenders.
Announcing a bumper annual result, WA’s biggest locally-owned bank signalled on Thursday that its preference was to hit up another top-10 mutual bank rather than hook up with smaller players to achieve national scale quicker.
