Residents react to fatal Collierville crash
COLLIERVILLE, Tenn. — An investigation into a fatal crash in Collierville is underway.
Near Suggs Park, tire tracks are all that’s left from Saturday night’s crash.
Collierville Police said this is where a man wanted in connection to a domestic violence incident crashed into multiple vehicles and later died.
“It was definitely a chase,” Blake Reynolds said. “I heard a boom but it sounded more like a crash.”
Blake and Maddie Reynolds live in the area and had just arrived home when the incident happened.
“We ran to the front windows, peaked through the blinds, a puff of smoke was in the air and the cops were right behind them,” Blake Reynolds said. “The cop was already on the scene and was getting out of his car and had his pistol drawn and was going towards that house. When I saw the gun, I was like we probably need to scatter.”

CPD says the suspect lost control of the vehicle, drove through someone’s front yard and crashed into multiple vehicles that were parked in a driveway.
Blake Reynolds said he’d lived in the area for less than two years and had never witnessed anything like it.
“The cops station is right there. So, we do hear them peel out,” Reynolds said. “We’ll hear the sirens but nothing like this for sure.”
Chief Lane said the suspect was rushed to the hospital but later died from his injuries.
No one else was injured.
