Road safety summit: Licensing reviews, advertising offer new hope, father of Nick Campo ‘optimistic’

The father of Nick Campo — the 18-year-old killed in a car crash in July — says he left an emergency road safety summit feeling “optimistic” there would be action taken to address WA’s soaring road toll.

The summit, called by Road Safety Minister David Michael as the State’s road fatalities climbed to a 10-year high, resulted in reviews into whether government advertising was “hard” enough, and the need for tighter rules for P-platers.
