Rollerdrome passes a million players

Roll7’s third-person dystopian pro skating shooter, Rollerdrome, has passed a million players since its debut in August 2022. Despite not sounding like a good pace to some, it’s still an important milestone for any game to cross that threshold.

Over on Twitter, the Rollerdrome team thanks the community for the support. This news was, of course warmly received as the stylized shooter has a fair bit going for it in the unique mechanics department, what with tricks replenishing ammo and slaying foes acts as a way to regain health.

The game itself takes place in a dystopian setting where a game show known as Rollerdrome is popular, it sees contestants duke it out in an arena, killing each other until there’s one last person standing. Putting on the shoes of rebel Kara Hassan, the player must complete challenges starting from rinky dink dual handguns. While you may start with these firearms, though, you’ll later be able to equip her with much more powerful weapons.

We hope that Rollerdrome continues to thrive. With its wide reach across the PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S market, we can certainly see the developer continuing to support it in the distant future.
