South32 chief Graham Kerr sets the timer on 1700 WA jobs, talks Rio’s Winu and broader WA copper interest

The livelihoods of 1700 Worsley Alumina workers will be at serious risk if WA’s environmental scrutineer is not overruled by the end of this year, South32 boss Graham Kerr has warned.

South32 last month slashed the value of its Worsley Alumina refinery in the State’s South West by $828 million after the WA Environmental Protection Authority slapped stricter emissions limits and land clearing rules on plans to extend the mine’s life.
