Its success can be attributed to various elements perfectly crafted by the developer, but the game’s community has also played an enormous role. This incredible community has now taken things one step further and brought Buzz Lightyear to the game!

If you’re unaware, Buzz Lightyear is one of the most iconic fictional characters from the Toy Story series by Pixar. He’s a space ranger who’s known for his catchphrase, “To infinity and beyond!”. He’s known for his heroic nature, so it’s no surprise that he feels right at home in the game.

While it’s great to see the community bringing such characters to the game, it could prove to be quite troublesome. In the last couple of weeks, we’ve seen some major lawsuits in the gaming industry, which have taken everyone by shock.

Let’s hope Disney doesn’t decide to sue Saber Interactive over this, as it would truly be a shame to see the Buzz Lightyear build being axed from Space Marine 2.

Space Marine 2 is the Biggest Success of the Year

The fact that Saber Interactive is already hinting at a potential Space Marine 2 sequel just proves how big of a success the game has been. Right from the start, it has been praised by critics and gamers alike. The title managed to hit a peak of 225,90 players within just 24 hours of release.

It’s the most-played Warhammer 40k game on Steam right now and blows all entries in the iconic franchise by huge margins. Most of the reviews on the title’s Steam page are also overwhelmingly positive, just showing how it’s one of the biggest masterclasses of the year.

The reason behind the Space Marine sequel’s success isn’t shocking at all. Unlike other developers, Saber Interactive has taken time to refine the game and pay close attention to even the smallest aspects. The game’s campaign mode is rich with lore and action despite lasting 15 hours.

Fans agree that the game is a massive leap in terms of graphics, sound, and gameplay experience. The cherry on top is that Saber already has plans to carry forward this momentum with post-launch content that will be ground-breaking.

With Space Marine 2‘s success, a potential sequel coming, and Henry Cavill’s plans to bring the franchise to the big screen, the future is looking great for the Warhammer 40k series.
