State of Emergency Declared as Line Fire Grows to More Than 20,000 Acres

A state of emergency was declared in San Bernadino County on Sunday, September 8, as crews battled a wildfire that had grown to more than 20,000 acres in size.

According to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (Cal Fire), multiple evacuation orders were in place as the Line Fire reached 20,553 acres.

More than 1,800 personnel were battling the wildfire, which was at zero per cent contained as of Sunday night.
