Tourism rebounds in East Kimberley: Kununurra visitor numbers up 24 per cent

Tourist numbers to the East Kimberley this dry season appear to have bounced back from last year’s Fitzroy Bridge collapse with the Kununurra Visitor Centre recording a 24 per cent increase in holiday-makers stopping by.

Kununurra Visitor Centre CEO Vivienne McEvoy said it was slow start to the season but there was a strong contingent of tourists rolling into town in time for the Ord Valley Muster in May.
