Usyk-Fury Boxing Sequence From PlayStation’s Undisputed Has Fans Worried For the Game
When it comes to boxing simulators, certain names like Real Boxing, Fight Night Round, and many more come to mind. Now it seems there is another name that is going to reign in this genre: Undisputed. This Steel City Interactive game is set to be released on October 11, 2024.
The game was earlier announced in 2020 as eSports Boxing Club before its name was changed to what it is today. The hype regarding the game is soaring day by day; however, controversies are giving a tough fight to this hype as well.
Upcoming Mouth-watering Boxing Sequenc Doesn’t Look Good in Undisputed
December can’t get more exciting as popular boxers Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk go on one for a rematch on the 21st of that month in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for the undisputed heavyweight championship. In the first match on 18th May, “The Cat” came out victorious. Now, it’s time to see which popular punchman claims their reign in the title. And “The Gypsy King” will be looking to turn the table upside down.
It’s a no-brainer that there has been huge hype regarding this match. Undisputed is also part of this hype, as the game has recently shared a clip of Fury and Usyk fighting each other in the in-game arena. It seems the developers want to predict the bout two months before the actual match. Everything was going well until fans started criticizing the game for this clip, as according to them, the game looks really old.
The upcoming boxing simulator is coming up with some really fascinating features like scan to sculpt for better in-game adaptation of the real boxers, de-aging process, motion capture, and many more. Despite having all of these, the game has yet to deliver promising gameplay, and the recent Usyk-Fury duel is a huge testament to that.
Undisputed Gets Rid of Controversial Boxer
Undisputed is already feeling the heat of the fans due to the inferior quality of gameplay. It seems the developers don’t want to face additional controversy anymore. That is why Steel City Interactive has confirmed that disputed boxer Ryan Garcia will be removed from the game on launch, following the fighter’s use of racial slurs on social media.
Garcia has already been expelled from the World Boxing Council. This controversial boxer will no longer be playable in local, online, and prize fight game modes from October 8, 2024. However, users who are currently playing the career mode (via Steam’s early access) will be able to use Garcia beyond launch until a new update comes in December.
Undisputed is a promising name in the field of boxing simulation titles. However, it has failed miserably to show any kind of promise in its recent gameplay video. We hope Steel City Interactive sorts everything up before its launch.
