World’s toughest pub Pier Hotel sold amid ongoing buyback of properties in Port Hedland’s West End

BHP has bought the well-known Port Hedland pub Pier Hotel weeks after the retiring owner closed the venue.

The Pier Hotel was reportedly made famous in the 1970s after journalist John Dyson wrote a feature article about the pub in UK newspaper The Sunday Telegraph — touted as the world’s toughest pub.
