These 5 Strongest Skyrim Enemies Prove Elder Scrolls 6 Desperately Needs a Feature to Beat Hidetaka Miyazaki’s Open World Games Monopoly
You’ll be shocked to know, but it’s been a whopping six years since we got our first look at the CGI announcement trailer for The Elder Scrolls 6 at Bethesda’s E3 2018 Stage. Although Bethesda has confirmed that it is working hard to bring out the game, we’ve received no significant updates so far, and it looks like that won’t change for a while.
Crafting a sequel to one of the best-selling video game titles, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, of all time is a challenging task. However, the developers must introduce one crucial feature from the legendary game in the upcoming Elder Scrolls title if they want to compete against Hidetaka Miyazaki and FromSoftware in the modern gaming landscape.
The Elder Scrolls 6 Desperately Needs Random Boss Encounters
Skyrim, just like any RPG out there, features tons of enemies. The sprawling province of Skyrim is packed with such bosses, each one distinct from the other.
Boss fights with the most powerful enemies, such as Ebony Warrior, Naaslaarum & Volsaarum, Miraak, Karstaag, and Dragon Priest, can prove to be notoriously tricky and require quick thinking, ingenuity, and powerful weapons to overcome. The best part about fighting them is the fact that they’re random, and you can run into them anytime.
These boss encounters stood as one of the core strengths of Skyrim. Due to their random nature, they ensured that not a single province was safe during the entire game. The challenging battles ensured that the vast map never died down due to lack of activity, with even the strongest players getting demolished when expecting the least.
If Todd Howard and his team really want The Elder Scrolls 6 to become the next generational hit, the developers need to bring these random boss battles from the previous entry. We’ve seen even Oblivion bringing a similar feature, so it would make sense for the franchise’s most anticipated title to continue the tradition.
When is The Elder Scrolls 6 Coming Out?
Ever since Elder Scrolls 6‘s first reveal way back in 2018, it’s been a hot topic of discussion among the gaming community. It’s been more than a decade since we’ve seen an Elder Scrolls title, which is making everyone question when the next one will finally see the light of day.
Well, we can expect the next Elder Scrolls game to be released no earlier than 2026 for Xbox Series S/X and PC. This is according to one of the lawyers who represented Microsoft during last year’s FTC hearing after it acquired Activision Blizzard.
Even though it’s quite a few years away from a release, it’s not because Howard and his team are dragging their heels on purpose. Considering the studio’s recent releases, which have proven to be a buggy mess and destroyed its reputation, the team working on the next Elder Scrolls title wants to take time and avoid such blunders.
Rushed development cycles can prove to be a major disaster for any game. Let’s not forget about the tragedy of AAA games such as Cyberpunk 2077 and Assassin’s Creed, which were absolutely horrendous despite having a high potential.
With that said, would you like to see any particular feature in The Elder Scrolls 6? If so, let us know in the comments below.
